Cbonds to hold an international conference in Uzbekistan
In Tashkent on September 13 an international conference “Capital market of the Republic of Uzbekistan” will be held.
Cbonds has already held conferences in Uzbekistan in 2006 and 2007. The company believes that now it’s time to re-open the capital market of the country.
Import to Uzbekistan exceeded exports by 25%
The main trading partner was China, whose turnover amounted to $ 3.3 billion, of which $ 1.5 billion is export, and $ 1.8 billion is imports. The growth was 33.9%.
The average level of prices for goods and services in Uzbekistan fell by 0.3%
The most noticeable prices in the consumer market rose in January (2.7%). In June and July, the seasonal factor affected the fall in prices for fruits and vegetables, as a consequence, to the general level of consumer prices (a decrease of 0.4% and 0.3% respectively).
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to 17.8 billion USD
As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, as a result of measures taken to strengthen cooperation with the CIS countries and comprehensive support for foreign trade, the share of CIS countries in foreign trade turnover in January-July 2018 amounted to 38.5%.
Uzbekistan to trade more with the United States and Belarus
Most of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover has grown with Belarus – 3.8 times and the United States – 2.1 times.
Tashkent to host Uzbekistan – China business forum
The event will also be attended by the heads of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry for Foreign Trade, the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of agencies and companies of Uzbekistan and China.
The delegation included the heads of 33 Chinese associations and major textile companies.
