EBRD to allocate loans for investment projects in the field of tourism
The EBRD can provide a loan of up to $ 250 million for investment projects in the tourism sector.
Further cooperation between the State Committee for Tourism and the EBRD is planned to be discussed in broad terms during the visit of representatives of the London office in mid-September this year.
India to introduce innovations in IT-technologies sphere
The Ministry of Innovations of Uzbekistan has agreed with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of India on cooperation in the field of introducing innovations in the sphere of IT technologies.
Also within the framework of the visit, a meeting with Sun Overseas was organized, the representatives of which expressed readiness to assist in attracting investors to the energy industry and IT-sphere to Uzbekistan.
The President signed a document on improving the system of protection of labor rights
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 20 signed a resolution “On measures to improve the structure of labor agencies and strengthen the system of protection of labor rights and labor protection of citizens”.
The Resolution approves the Road Map for 2018-2019, which provides for measures to strengthen the protection of labor rights of employees, improve the skills of inspection personnel, conduct public awareness work, improve legislation and much more.
China, South Korea and Japan implement projects for $ 250 million
The result of the international business forum “Do business in the Tashkent region” was the signing of 10 memorandums with Chinese, Japanese and Korean companies.
Uzbek-Malaysian Center for Vocational Education to open in Tashkent
The center will be created in conjunction with the Malaysian Integrated Business College (Malasian Integrated Business College).
There will be short courses in business, accounting, restaurant management and cooking, social media marketing and other areas.
Roseximbank finances construction of Tashkent metallurgical plant
Roseximbank has signed loan agreements with the banks “Asaka” and “Uzpromstroybank” for a total of more than 140 million euros for a period of 10 years.
The funds will be used to build the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant (TMZ). The general contractor for the construction is the MetProm GC (Russia).
