In 2019, some clinics and hospitals will be transferred to the management of investors
From July 1, 2019, medical care institutions will be transferred to investors, according to the presidential decree on improving the health system in the country.
From the same date on, a mixed financing mechanism will be introduced in inpatient hospitals of the regional, district and city levels, at which treatment, which is not included in the scope of guaranteed free medical care, is provided on a fee basis.
From January 1, 2021, gradual introduction of compulsory health insurance will begin. Before July 1, 2019, a corresponding law that will provide for all legal bases, mechanisms and other details must be developed.
Parking lots will be passed to private ownership across the country
The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to implement the Concept of ensuring road safety in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018-2022” approves the introduction of a public-private partnership (PPP) mechanism in the area of road safety and the creation of a modern road infrastructure.
Entrepreneurs will now be able to rent parking for up to 10 years. The companies will be selected on a competitive basis. In this process the state will be engaged only in monitoring the implementation of the agreement by the private partner.
Such investors are exempted from paying customs duties for imported equipment, components, software, construction and other materials that are not made in Uzbekistan, according to the lists formed in the prescribed manner; value added tax for works (services) performed by non-residents of Uzbekistan. Grace period is until January 1, 2022.

Lufthansa is interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan

InfinBank has applied for the purchase of MDS-Service clinic in Tashkent for 32 billion soums
InfinBank has applied for the purchase of the MDS-Service clinic in Tashkent, which has been sold at an online auction since early September.
The lot is 100% of the authorized capital of the clinic (62.2% is owned by NNB Investments Ltd, 37.8% is by Solid Investment and Securities Ltd). Both companies are created with the participation of foreign capital. The bank is the only bidder.
If the participant pays the cost within five working days, he is recognized as the winner of the auction and a report on the results of the auction is issued to him.
