Halliburton is ready for full-fledged cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz
On 6 August 2018, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Alisher Sultanov and President of Halliburton in the Eastern Hemisphere – Mr. Joe Rainey held talks in Tashkent.
The President of Halliburton noted that he closely follows changes in the economic and political spheres of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekneftegaz press service said. At the same time, he stressed the company’s long-standing intention to enter the Uzbek market, and expressed the hope that today is the best time to become part of the positive changes taking place in the country.
Over US$8 billion directed to development of rail transport communications and infrastructure
Over US$8 billion, including US$2.6 billion of foreign investments, were directed to development of rail transport communications and infrastructure of Uzbekistan. This wass stated in the congratulatory message of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the staff of the joint-stock company Uzbekiston Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways).
Uzbekistan starts to implement pilot project for introduction of online cash registers
A pilot project on introduction of online cash registers has been launched in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the State Tax Committee, a joint resolution of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan “On procedure for conducting a pilot project for introduction of online cash registers providing data on online payments” was signed.
Major investment projects will be implemented together with South Korea
The delegation led by the khokim of Fergana region visited the Republic of Korea and reached agreements on implementation of a number of investment projects.
Negotiations were held on establishing cooperation with the business center, increasing the export of regional products to the Republic of Korea, as well as attracting Korean investors to Fergana.
As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry for Foreign Trade, the draft Agreement envisages provision of free access for organizations, companies and institutions of the CIS member states to their service markets in accordance with conditions specified in the Agreement.
Japanese investors implement new projects
A meeting with members of the delegation led by the Chairman of the working group on foreign trade, investment and infrastructure of Japan – Uzbekistan Silk Road Fund Mamoru Sekiyama was held at the JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”. The Japanese partners expressed their readiness to participate in the investment projects of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”. Investors are interested in equipping gas chemical complexes with necessary equipment.
