Turkish company and Uzbekistan sign agreement on development of two gold deposits
The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources and the company TAŞYAPI (Turkey) signed an agreement on development of two gold deposits in Samarkand region. Within the framework of the document, the parties will organize joint exploration and development of Galabulak and Kushtepa fields.
At the first stage, TAŞYAPI will conduct verification drilling operations at the facilities in order to clarify information on the available resource base and confirm historical exploration data, and will use international standards for these purposes. The company will also conduct metallurgical tests for development of process schedules and will develop a preliminary feasibility study for development of gold deposits.
Following the positive results of the first stage of the project, the parties will agree on the forms and conditions for cooperation in development of gold deposits.
Shell plans to organize production in Uzbekistan
According to the vice-president of the concern, Joanna Künsberg, Shell is interested in the reforms taking place in the country and is considering a project to produce fuel and lubricants for the needs of large industrial enterprises.
In addition, it is possible to attract funds from the British Department of Export Credit Guarantee in the amount of up to £ 1.2bln for energy projects.

Business City for $500 mln to be created in Yunusabad
In accordance with the resolution of the Head of the state dated August 2 of this year “On measures of creating modern business centers “Business city” in the territories of the republic”, this complex is planned to be located on a plot of 45.5 hectares in Otchopar-2 makhalla of Yunusabad district. On October 25, a resolution of the Board of the Central Bank made changes and additions to the instruction on bank accounts, which allow entrepreneurs to open accounts in banks remotely. Now, when opening and maintaining a bank account, banks are forbidden to require entrepreneurs a stamp on documents or to submit documents with stamps.
